1. What if my beans are not completely cooked?
Check the wattage of your slow cooker. If the wattage is below 250, the product may need to be cooked longer or cooked on high for a portion of the time.
2. What if the recipe becomes overcooked?
Check the wattage of your slow cooker. If it is above 250 watts, you may need to cook the product for a shorter period of time, or add additional water.
3. Can the recipes be made vegetarian?
Yes, you can add more beans at the beginning of the cook cycle, or you can add the fresh or frozen vegetables of your choice about 20 minutes prior to serving, turning your slow cooker to high heat.
4. Can different types of meat be used?
Yes, the serving suggestions on the package will occasionally offer different meat suggestions. We do not recommend using smoked, cured or prepared meat due to the added flavors and sodium.
5. Are the products gluten free?
Yes, all of the Signature Family Recipe items are gluten free.
6. Do the products contain MSG?
No, none of the products contain MSG.
7. Should the meat be cooked prior to adding it to the slow cooker?
No, the meat should be added raw to the slow cooker unless otherwise specified. |
